Conditions of Hire
1. A deposit is required upon confirmation of the order, followed by further amounts as specified in the quotation document. All rentals are payable in advance.
2. Elliott Kitchens will charge the amount should confirmation of insurance not be provided. Confirmation of insurance is required at the time of acceptance of our quotation. Due to the nature of cold storage, fridge/ freezer contents cannot be insured by ELLIOTT KITCHENS. All risks insurance is therefore the responsibility of the hirer. Under no circumstances can ELLIOTT KITCHENS be held liable for any losses.
3. Any cabin hire or single unit appliance, which extends beyond the Contract Period, will be charged a run on price as detailed in our quotation.
4. Prior to delivery, a site plan will be required by ELLIOTT KITCHENS to ensure that suitable access is available for delivery. Suitable access and on-site arrangements are the responsibility of the Client. Should any temporary roadway or support be required to cover soft ground, it will be organised by, and/ or at the expense of the Client. Any delays/ costs arising from problems of access or site suitability are chargeable to the Client.
5. ELLIOTT KITCHENS will not be responsible for obtaining any planning consent. ELLIOTT KITCHENS assume the Client has undertaken this responsibility.
6. The quotation excludes delivery and collection (except where stated) linkways, steps, ramps and supply of mechanical services.
7. All units and single unit appliances must be signed for upon arrival. Thereafter the units and appliances become the responsibility of the hirer.
8. The units and appliances must be cleaned after use. Should the equipment not be returned in a satisfactory condition, the Hirer hereby accepts the subsequent cleaning charge to a maximum of £50.00 per appliance or £500.00 per cabin.
9. Any delay to collection and retrieval experienced by ELLIOTT KITCHENS whilst on site will be charged at £150.00 per hour. In the event of a rearranged delivery or collection delays will be charged accordingly.
10. Any units and appliances that sustain damage during the rental period will be repaired and the cost passed to the hirer.
11. Under no circumstances is the Client permitted to :
a) Alter or modify ELLIOTT KITCHENS units or equipment
b) Remove equipment/utensils from units.
c) Withhold ELLIOTT KITCHENS units or equipment at end of period hire.
d) Deny access to ELLIOTT KITCHENS to their units or equipment at any time.
12. The Client must:
a) Maintain regular-cleaning rotas as is mandatory of hygienic catering practice.
Should the equipment not be returned in a satisfactory condition, the hirer hereby accepts the subsequent cleaning charge. Clause 7 will apply.
13. A set of keys will be supplied with each container unit at the commencement of hire. Keys lost or not returned at the end of the period hire will be charged for at a cost of £40 per set
14. Gas will be supplied by ELLIOTT KITCHENS at an additional cost.
15. We require 30 days notice for the termination of contracts.
16. ELLIOTT KITCHENS reserves the right to charge 8% per annum over and above Barclays Bank plc base rate and retain any deposits paid on any overdue accounts, if not settled within the time specified on the contract.
17. All prices are exclusive of VAT.
